JONATHAN and Amy GULLEY: LEAD PASTORs
Jonathan Gulley was married in 2000 to Amy Gulley, where his true seminary in leadership development began, since as you might say ‘a man who can lead his wife can lead the world,’ In 2004, Jonathan and Amy along with two fabulous children and a church planting team launched Antioch Community Church in Wheaton. Leading such a wonderful community that passionately loves Jesus and his purposes in the earth is the joy of his life.
Michael Swindell: Crew Young Adult/ College PASTOR
Michael Swindell serves on staff as the Crew Zone Pastor, overseeing all college and young adult ministries. After growing up in Houston, TX, Michael graduated from Wheaton College in 2008 with a B.A. in Biblical Studies and is currently attending Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS). He enjoys reading about leadership, playing sports and engaging in deep conversation with good friends, especially his wife Ann. They are excited for the arrival of their first child in May 2013.
Deondra Akin: WORSHIP PASTOR
Deondra Akin came on staff in October 2012 to serve as our worship pastor. Deondra grew up in Texas and graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. After a year of teaching kindergarten, the Lord called Deondra to graduate studies at Wheaton College and she recently finished her Masters Degree in Christian Formation and Ministry. Outside of music, Deondra loves encouraging others, going deep in relationships, reading, decorating, and being adventurous.
Chris Otts: Family Pastor & ELEVATE DIRECTOR
Chris serves as our family pastor and Elevate discipleship training school director. Chris is married to Christie and they have 3 wonderfully rowdy boys. They are currently adopting a child from Cameroon and are passionate about carrying God’s dreams for all nations. Chris loves being outside and challenging himself in new and adventurous ways.
Micah Scharchburg: Youth Pastor
Micah Scharchburg serves as our youth pastor and church administrator. Micah grew up in Houston, TX, graduated from Baylor University in ’09 with a bachelor of arts in religion, and came on staff in October of 2012. Micah has worked in youth ministry since 2007 and when not hanging with teenagers enjoys running, playing golf, watching sports, traveling and having a good time with friends.
ERICA Blan:CHILDREN’S DIRECTOR
Erica Blan serves as our children’s director. She grew up in Monument, CO and graduated from Wheaton College in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education. She came on staff in December of 2011, and recently married Michael Blan in August of 2012. Erica also works part time as a nanny for 3 kids, ages 3, 5 and 9. She has a passion for kids, the poor, and for the nations. In her free time Erica enjoys time with family, white water rafting, and the outdoors.
Aaron Davis: Finance Manager
Aaron Davis serves as our Finance Manager. Aaron grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and moved to Wheaton shortly after he began attending Antioch in 2006 and came on staff as our accountant in 2010. In his free time Aaron enjoys relaxing with close friends, playing board games, traveling, and being outdoors.
